The Jireh Jar was handcrafted out of cement as a replica of the ancient Hellenistic oil jars. Referencing 2 Kings 4:1-7 about the poor widow who, with the help of the prophet Elisha, miraculously filled many jars with oil to pay off her debts. The name, "Jireh" comes from the Genesis 22 story when Abraham went up the mountain to sacrifice his son, Isaac, and God provided a ram in the bush instead. Abraham called God Jehovah Jireh, God who provides.
Each jar is handcrafted with cement, taking many stages and layers, and is cured over two months. The jar is then painted and aged. Each jar includes a vial of anointing oil, a scroll telling the story of the widow, and a blessing of provision over your life.
Approximately 8" tall.
